What to do when you
have a Computer Crash
A computer crash is a malfunction of your machine. This is the worst of all computer problems.
Your screen may go blank. All your buttons on your keyboard may become disabled. This computer problem is also known as a "freeze."
Many times a crash or freeze will destroy all the information that was on your computer. If you didn't store this information in another place, it will be gone forever!

The majority of you will find that your computer is in the same condition as when you left it. Here are a couple of simple steps to try now.
Press the Esc key a few times and wait a few moments. If that doesn't work,try...
Pressing the Ctrl, Alt, and Delete button all at the same time.(You can also right-click on an empty space on the taskbar and click "Start Task Manager".)
If this works, the Windows screen will appear with 5 selections to choose. Click on the bottom one which will say "Start Task Manager".
A small window will be displayed, the Windows Task Manager program. Select any program by left clicking on it. Then, go to the bottom of the page and click the End Task button.
If you had more than one program running when your computer crashed, continue this process till all the programs are stopped. Close the window and immediately go backup your computer. (info)
